A couple of years ago, I stumbled upon this really cool boutique in Dallas, TX called Fleastyle. I soon learned that they had more than one location in the DFW area. The boutiques themselves are next level when it comes to style, clothing, and overall experience. My favorite thing about these particular boutiques is their hat bar.

We decided to take a quick trip to the river for my birthday. It didn’t hurt that one of my favorite country bands was playing that weekend right off the river. We loaded up our stuff, grabbed our floats, and hopped in the car with our friends for a fun road trip!

Beignets, barbecue, and board games. What more could you ask for? We started the Tik Tok Alphabet Date Challenge a couple weeks ago. Now it was time for our alphabet date challenge letter B. Check out our fun and tasty adventure.

Date night is fun, but if you are anything like my husband and I, date night can become a tedious process when narrowing down where to eat, and what to do. Luckily my friend called me to tell me about the dating A to Z challenge she saw on Tik Tok. I will admit that Tik Tok has some pretty interesting challenges, but this one sounded like fun. Challenge accepted!

Travelling to Jamaica has always been on my bucket list, so when I found out my cousin was getting married in Jamaica, I knew immediately I had to go! It is hands down one of my all-time favorite trips. Beautiful ocean views, white sands, friendly people, and amazing food. Who could ask for more? We booked our flights, grabbed our passports and were ready for our newest adventure.

I’m throwing it back to our adventure to Canton, Texas this past summer for the First Monday Trade Days. If you are ever in the DFW area it is definitely something, you need to check out. It is packed with all kinds of vendors and some tasty treats too!

It’s tulip time! Nothing says Spring or Easter like tulips. I have always seen beautiful insta worthy pictures of people in a field full of tulips and I have been dying to check it off my bucket list. Once I saw that Tulipalooza would be at the Waxahachie Civic Center in Waxahachie, Texas, I knew I had to check it out. The best part is that it is a fundraising event that helps various charities.

The sun is finally out, temperatures are rising, and it’s time to shave your legs, lol! I don’t know about you but when Spring rolls around I am ready to shed all of the winter layers, get a pedi, and wear all of my cute dresses. Now granted, my skin hasn’t seen the sun in quite some time. These are the products I reach for when I need a sun-kissed glow without the orange tint.

Some beauty products that I have been reaching for, more often than not, this winter are Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, L’oreal True Match Lumi Glotion, Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturizer with Multi-Action Super Lotus, Exuviance CitraFIrm Face Oil, and Origins Ginzing Eye Cream. I don’t know about you, but my skin needs some extra love in the Winter season. My skin just seems to cry out for moisture. I am really loving these products and the healthy radiance they give.

My parents moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico when I was a sophomore in college. When I would go back home to visit, my family and I would explore their new city. It totally became a thing for us as a family. Since then, every time we go back to visit, there is always something new my family wants to take us to. My parents aren’t foodies by any means, but now that they are empty nesters they tend to go out more with their friends for dinner and cocktails. Their latest find is the Sawmill Market. The history of the location is pretty cool as well.

Fall is my favorite time of the year. Leaves changing colors, pumpkin spice everywhere. Yes, I’m one of those people! Even though Texas really doesn’t truly have much of a fall I still get excited when October and November roll around. Fall outfits are my all time favorite! I’m a huge fan of dresses paired with some really cute boots. Something about it is so simple, but elevated at the same time.

Art, Music, and Friends, what could get any better than that? We attended the Amon Carter Museum’s 60th Birthday Bash and it was a night to remember! We thought it would be fun to get some friends together and have a group date night that was different from our norm. When we found out that one of our favorite artists Shakey Graves was going to be performing at this birthday celebration we knew we had to go and check it out.

Who doesn’t love checking off boxes on a checklist? I don’t know about you but when I can check off a box on my to do list I feel accomplished and #adulting. Teaching and being a mother of two requires some organization. I love using cute planners and colorful pens and highlighters. It’s totally corny but looking at my brightly colored lists and calendar brings a smile to my face. I get so excited at the beginning of each school year to pick out my new supplies. Here are some of my favorites for this school year.

Do y’all remember that song by Will Smith? That was my jam in Middle School. We recently took a family trip to Miami. My husband and I have been once before. We wanted the kids to have some fun in the sun and play at the beach, so we packed our bags and headed to the Sunshine State. Here are some of the highlights of our trip.
