The sun is finally out, temperatures are rising, and it’s time to shave your legs, lol! I don’t know about you but when Spring rolls around I am ready to shed all of the winter layers, get a pedi, and wear all of my cute dresses. Now granted, my skin hasn’t seen the sun in quite some time. These are the products I reach for when I need a sun-kissed glow without the orange tint.
Coco and Eve Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam is what I reach for when I want that back from the beach kinda look. I have a medium skin tone so I use the color Dark. For tanners, it is super easy to apply, dries fast, and doesn’t have an overpowering tanner smell. I apply it with a mitt. I purchased the cheetah mitt from Pink Lily. You can buy a mitt literally from anywhere and they aren’t expensive at all. Here are a few tips that have worked for me when applying self tanner:
- Shower and exfoliate first
- Put lotion around elbows, knees, ankle bones, and feet. For me it helps those areas not to absorb so much product.
- Let your tan dry before getting dressed. I like to stand in front of a fan to make sure it gets really dry.
- Let the tan develop overnight and shower the next day.
- Pat dry after showering. To prolong your tan, pat dry when finished showering, and make sure to moisturize.
Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops is a great quick, hassle-free tan. It takes a minute to get the drops to lotion ratio right to achieve the glow you want. For me, 6 to 8 drops with one pump of lotion gives me the glow I need. I use that ratio for all parts of my body. What I love about these drops is the ease in applying. After I hop out of the shower, I use these drops in my lotion. Once it has been applied, give it a few minutes to dry. Definitely make sure to wash your hands when you are finished applying.
