Date night is fun, but if you are anything like my husband and I, date night can become a tedious process when narrowing down where to eat, and what to do. Luckily my friend called me to tell me about the Alphabet Date Challenge she saw on Tik Tok. I will admit that Tik Tok has some pretty interesting challenges, but this one sounded like fun. They already had an idea of what to do for the letter A date night: appetizers and arcade. Challenge accepted!
Appetizers
We headed to Fort Worth to start off the date with appetizers. We picked a location that was within walking distant of the arcade. Our first stop was Maggie’s R & R located on Magnolia Street. The heat wasn’t too bad, so we decided to sit outside and listen to the live music. We ordered the Brisket Queso Blanco and Fried Pickle Chips. The queso comes with wonton chips. They were really good! I love fried pickles, but I am always hesitant to order them. Majority of the time they are made too thin and salty. The fried pickles at Maggie’s R & R did not disappoint! They were thick, lightly salted and had the right amount of breading. Our friends and my husband ordered draft beers. I decided to go with the Bookshelf Margarita. It was delicious! Arcade
It was time to head to the arcade. We walked up the street to our next spot. Freeplay Fort Worth is a bar/arcade located near Magnolia Street on Lipscomb. We paid an entry fee and were given a wrist band. The bar had a great drink selection! All of the drinks were listed on a big game board. We grabbed our drinks and headed to the games.
Game On
The arcade brought me back to my childhood! They had a great selection of retro games that were so nostalgic. I felt like a kid again! We walked around the room scoping out which games we wanted to play. This was such a fun option for a date night. By far our favorite game was Pacman. Four players could play at a time, so we were able to all play together. Our second favorite game was Dance Dance Revolution. I never laughed so hard. We did boys against girls and the boys were cracking us up with their sweet dancing skills. To check out the selection of games and pricing you can visit https://freeplayftworth.com/games/
