It’s tulip time! Nothing says Spring or Easter like tulips. I have always seen beautiful insta worthy pictures of people in a field full of tulips and I have been dying to check it off my bucket list. Once I saw that Tulipalooza would be at the Waxahachie Civic Center in Waxahachie, Texas, I knew I had to check it out. The best part is that it is a fundraising event that helps various charities.

Of course, you never know what to expect with Texas weather, but the great thing is that the event goes from March 18th-27th come rain, shine, wind, etc. It was pretty windy when we arrived, but that wasn’t going to stop me from getting my flowers, lol!

You can purchase tickets online, or at the entrance. We paid $20 for entry (weekend price), got a plastic flower bag, and began exploring all of the beautiful colors. You can pick however many stems you would like. They charge $2.00 per stem, and you pay at the end when you are exiting the field.

The flowers were gorgeous. There is something about walking and picking flowers that brings such joy. It reminded me of the tulips my mom planted in her flower beds when I was a kid. Strolling down each row of flowers brought back warm memories.

It is a neat experience. From flowers to food trucks, Instagram opportunities to entertainment, they have it all, and it is a wonderful way to give back to charities who help the community. The beneficiaries of the proceeds from Tulipalooza are listed on their website, as well as information regarding food trucks and entertainment.
